I love to run outside because it gives me a chance to see other people on the trails. It seems just nicer than being on a treadmill and staring at a TV that is usually on the news channel. However the last few times I have run outside I have found a lot of very UNFRIENDLY people. I'd say hi and they'd say nothing.
Would it hurt to say hello or wave your hand. I run alone. I don't have someone to talk to and sometimes just a hello makes me feel like I'm not out there alone. So next time you're out running and someone says hi, return it with a hi or a wave of the hand.
I ran 4.68 miles today.

I know what you mean! There was actually a big article about this in Runners World a few months ago. But how hard is it just to wave and smile?
LOL I get that on the bike trail a lot.... I smile and say hi and they stare straight ahead....
whatever... I made the effort :)
